Continuous Workstation Monitor Z108 (For Dual-cord Wrist Straps)
The Model Z108
continuously monitors the connections to earth of the wrist strap and work surface.
This uses a resistance method that includes the operator's resistance. If the
operator exceeds 10 Mohms or the work surface resistance-to-ground exceeds 10
Mohms, audible and visible alarms are triggered. This unit also warns of potentially
dangerous low resistance situations.
This can be
used only with dual-cord wriststraps. Dual conductors provide
the resistance circuit that is monitored as well as provide grounding redundancy.
If one conductor fails, the other will still provide the necessary ground path.
With a Satellite docking pod supplied with the Monitor, upto 2 operators can be continuously monitored. Individual status LEDs give real-time indication of wrist strap, coil cord and surface to ground connections.
