Dual Footwear Tester - Z104 (with stand z105)

ESD footwears are the first line of defence against electrostatic charge build up on the human body. They are designed to drain away this charge to ground, as soon as it is generated. At the same time the special footwear must remain electrically safe for the user. Thus, it is important to test every footwear regularly.

In order to protect sensitive electronic components, the maximum footwear resistance should not be more than 35 meg ohms. On the other hand, the resistance should not be less than 0.8 Mohm as protection to the wearer from dangerous levels of voltage and current flow.

This DUAL footwear tester checks these parameters under actual operating conditions while actually wearing the footwear. It clearly indicates whether or not the resistance of the footwear system including the wearer is atleast 800 kilo ohms and not more than 35 meg ohms respectively. The unique DUAL testing circuits ensure that both Left and Right side ESD footwear are tested independantly.
